Vinil is a Belgrade shop that sorts its records by feel rather than by pedantry: Pop Vibes, Rock & Indie, Groove Out, Jazz & Blues, Electronic & Dance, Classical, Soundtrack, World Music and a proper ex-Yu section. Alongside the vinyl it sells t-shirts and a striking poster line called Brutalism and Renaissance, 50 by 70 prints of Yugoslav modernist landmarks: the Genex western gate towers, the Skopje post office and the monuments at Kadinjaca, Kozara, Tjentiste and Niksic. The online store runs to just under a thousand items. Small catalogue, strong point of view.
