Vinyl Club Barcelona is run by Marcelo Suarez, also known as Anibalsons Funk Selector, an obsessive collector of black and Latin music who has been DJing since he first played Razzmatazz in 2003 and has since selected in booths across Barcelona, Madrid and Berlin. The shop sells new and used vinyl with weekly arrivals of LPs and singles, plus exclusive-distribution records, and the racks run to funk and soul, jazz from bop to hard bop and Latin jazz, Latin sounds from bolero to cumbia and mambo, rock and world. He founded the online store RavalGroove Records in 2007 and FunkSoulRecords in 2014.
