DiG opened on 10 June 2010 and sits in central Moscow on Kotelnicheskaya naberezhnaya, open every day from 12:00 to 20:00. The owners work the counter themselves, they are musicians who watch the stock closely, and the press describes crates built for DJs and listeners alike: new wave and alternative classics, contemporary electronic releases, soul, classic rock, jazz and hip-hop. In 2013 DiG made a list of the best vinyl shops in the city. It has always been more than a counter: gigs, parties and listening sessions, including Sunday Vinyl School, where an expert introduces a record and the room hears it out in complete darkness. Underground acts including Sonic Death, Hellspin, Mark Sultan and Polska Radio One have played inside the shop, and DiG buys records as well as selling them.
