Vinyl Vaughan's is the only independent record shop on Guernsey, which is the whole of its importance: an island of sixty-odd thousand people either has somewhere to buy records or it does not. Thousands of second-hand and new records and CDs, running from 1920s sides through to current hip-hop, dance and drum and bass, and short opening hours because one person is running it.
