Vinyl Villains opened at 5 Elm Row in 1983 and has stayed in the same hands and the same room ever since - forty-odd years without changing owner, which almost nothing in this directory can say. Rare and collectable second-hand vinyl is the trade, and it has been buying records, tapes and CDs over the counter since at least 1988, which is when the Edinburgh Evening News carried its advert saying so
