Vinylbrokers opened in 2006, at the point when the collapse of physical formats was already a fact, on a bet by founders Paolo Rey and Alex De Ponti: used vinyl imported from the USA, sold on at prices that keep records within reach of younger buyers just arriving at the format. That formula built an international following. Genres run from soul to jazz, rock to disco-funk, pop to dance and present-day electronica, in twelve-inch singles as well as LPs, and there is a new vinyl section too, with reissued classics and house and electronica twelves from DJ producers still loyal to the format. The room at Via Privata Pericle 4 opens to the public Friday and Saturday, 15:00 to 19:00.
