Vodkast was opened in 2015 by a group of friends who were DJs first and shopkeepers second, and it runs as three things at once - the shop in the Fabrika courtyard on Ninoshvili, a label, and a podcast. The stock is weighted to dance music, which is the correct weighting for a city whose clubs are the reason people fly in, and the part that matters is the Georgian shelf: local artists and local labels that are difficult to hear anywhere else. There is a second shop in Batumi.
