Waaghals is a specialist vinyl and CD shop in Nijmegen with a webshop and a Discogs storefront. Noisy indie pop is one of its main pillars. Waaghals Records, the shop's own label, has a Rataplan Tapes box coming, pulled from the archive of Radio Rataplan, which started in 1980 and made its last broadcast on 11 May 2001. In July the shop takes over the thousand-year-old St. Nicolaaskapel at the Valkhof Festival as .wav, running its own stage, a pop-up shop and an in-store programme aimed squarely at adventurous listeners, from experimental electronics and noise-drone to deep house and dub.
