White Noise opened in April 2004, started by three friends who discovered they were each fans of the same obscure late-60s British band and took its name. It has been the shop Hong Kong's underground works out of ever since, and it never stayed only a shop: it runs as a label and a distributor too, and it has spent twenty years bringing international artists over to play in a city that does not always get them. The racks run to limited editions, box sets and the kind of records that need somebody to have gone and found them.
