World of Echo opened in Bethnal Green in November 2018, named after Arthur Russell's 1986 album, and is run by Stephen Pietrzykowski and Natalie Judge. It is vinyl only - new, used and rare - and the taste is specific: early electronic music, krautrock, noise, EBM, punk, post-punk, industrial, jazz, art rock and DIY, with a lot of weight behind local labels and artists. Thurston Moore sold three hundred records from his own collection through the shop in September 2019.
