Yellow Pop has been buying and selling in Kawaguchi since 1980 and now runs two shops, the original street-level room in Honcho 4-chome and a second on the third floor of the Mieru Kawaguchi shopping centre. New stock lands daily and the range is deliberately wide, enka and J-pop through jazz, rock, blues, soundtracks and city pop, on LP, EP, CD and DVD. Buying is nationwide, including house calls, and the shop is busy off its own floor too: record markets it stages in the shopping centre's centre court, seasonal sales and stalls at the All Japan Record and CD Disc Carnival in Morioka and Hamamatsu.
